Water is commonplace in America. I turn on the tap and it's there. I step into the shower and it's there. I go to a vending machine and it can be found there. Walking outside I pass the car wash, the laundromat, the coffee shop. Water is everywhere and sometimes I take it for granted.
Wasting water is so common in America. We shower for hours, we keep the faucet running when we do the dishes or brush our teeth. I have a bad habit of wasting water. Yet, hearing about the people in the world that need water, that have to work hard for just a clean glass of water, I realise what a luxury water is for some and so each day I am thankful that I can get up and turn on the tap and have a little bit of H 2 O.
