Christians?
Sometimes the people who call themselves a "Christian" can be really disappointing. Sometimes they think they know everything and don't like anyone else to say anything because everyone is wrong if they don't agree with them. Sometimes they go about telling people off and thinking that it is OK because they are righteous and the next person is not ...
But sometimes, I think the worse thing is when they use scripture to back up their own selfish desires ...

I absolutely agree. It's sad and extremely frustrating.
I'm reading this book "Lord, Save Us from Your Followers: Why is the Gospel of Love dividing Society?" by Dan Merchant and it raises similar issues in the introductory chapter. Christians love to talk and preach, but we hate to listen. It's a one-way conversation with a lot of us.
Thinking about this issue is teaching me to shut up until I'm willing to have a real conversation and have something beneficial to say.
@Issie - never heard of that book.
I know it is very heartbreaking. I think that's why some people try to do away with the term altogether or change the wording like "Christ follower" or "making life in the way of Jesus"...actually I guess I change the wording, too. I guess because I try to be intentional in my words and I don't want to be confused with the "christians" you are referring to here.
