Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because
of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the
children of disobedience.Be not ye therefore partakers
with them.For ye were sometimes darkness, but now
are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For
the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness
and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
"for because of these things" what things? Paul is referring to the things listed above, the things that we should stay away from, the things that hinder us from "walking in love".
Sometimes it's so easy to accept things and be apathetic towards them, in a way I'm telling the world, "yeah world, I hate those things, but what happens when a brother or sister does them? How should I handle it? We're all called to walk as children of light and leave behind the dark things. Yet fear of rejection or simple apathy stops us from addressing these things in our lives and with our friends.
