  • Ephesians 5:5

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean
person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath
any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

God provided salvation freely. Paul was writing to the Church while stating this. It makes me wonder about the people and what they were doing to be told this by Paul. A person engaged in sinful acts has no place in the kingdom of God. What was the church doing? How were they living?

Salvation is given freely. Yet, in order to be saved from something we have to leave that something behind ... we have to leave that sin behind. It means we have to accept the change of lifestyle that comes with it and that means that we should turn away from sin, for where there is sin there is no God.
